Paula J. Peters
Paula J. Peters has had a major role in shaping family law changes in Maryland by work with the Maryland General Assembly as well as various Bar Associations. She is an experienced family law attorney. As such, she is recognized as a top lawyer in domestic relations and is "A-rated" by Martindale Hubbell. She serves as a master/examiner appointed by the judges of the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County.
Ms. Peters is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Ms. Peters received her law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1979 where she was a member of the Law review. From 1996 - 1997 she served as Chair of the Family Law Section of the Maryland State Bar Association. As an appointee of the Governor of Maryland, she has served on the Maryland Commission for Women, and the Advisory Counsel on Child Support Enforcement. She worked with the Maryland General Assembly to revise domestic relations law and child support for over fifteen years. Ms. Peters was selected by Anne Arundel County attorneys to serve on the Trial Courts Judicial Nominating Commission for 4 four-year terms. She has also served on various Boards and Commissions for both Anne Arundel County and Annapolis. She has held a variety of positions in the Maryland State Bar Association, the Maryland Women's Bar Association, the Anne Arundel County Bar Association and the Anne Arundel Women's Law Center, including being a member of the Inquiry Panel and Review Board of the Attorney Grievance Committee.
She uses her experience and expertise to improve the area of family law as it applies to all families in Maryland.
